Swing and a Miss at La Jolla for Yellowtails , Switched to "Plan B" for Sheepheads

Swing and a Miss on Yellowtail at La Jolla on Friday (6/19/2026) … Hoping to capitalize on the Half Day boat counts of Yellowtail the previous weekend. Trolled the perimeters of diving birds (2 to 3 hours) for Jumbo Macs and shaker Barracudas 27 ¾”(released). Most of the Yellowtails have moved out of the area. Switched to “Plan B” and “Plan C” (Ceviche), as seen in YouTube video for entertainment purposes 🎣 😁👍 You will notice, I take a lot of “First Timers” of Family and Friends to the local Point Loma/La Jolla fishing grounds … and if in season, a few “Old Timers” to the off-shore Tuna Banks, chasing Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, and/or Dorado.
