Kivgiq - Day 4 - Afternoon
Kivgiq is an ancient Inupiaq tradition, which unites communities in a celebration of dance and fellowship. The four-day Kivgiq celebration includes traditional dances, art and craft bartering, storytelling, gift giving, and a Native dress review. Participants come from the international circumpolar community, including Russia and Canada, as well as from all parts of Alaska and the lower 48 states. ▬ Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 - Audience arrival 13:17 - Tariek Oviok & Paul Bodfish, Sr. 18:37 - Nuiqsaġmiut 50:36 - Qikiqtaġrugmiut 1:21:01 Pagla short video 1:23:47 - Qaaktuġvigmiut 1:59:08 - Kalimiut 2:30:59 - Pagla short video 2:33:13 - Iñuuvigmiut 3:01:50 - Taġiuġmiut 3:35:56 - Barrow Dancers 4:21:35 - King Island-miut
