How to Fight an Iron Golem (Logically)

Magical constructs don't exactly fit into any notions of realism, but it's fun to entertain the idea of how one could possibly defeat an iron golem if it existed in a more mundane world, where magic or adamantine weapons don't exist. Could it be treated like a possessed suit of armor and be vulnerable to maces or hammers for instance? Or is it more solid and would require way more kinetic energy to damage than even a powerful strike on a horse at full gallop could generate? Maybe this discussion (more like over-thinking) could be useful if you're looking for ideas for a fantasy world that doesn't abandon logic entirely. Either way I hope you find it entertaining.
