How A Railroad Crossing Bell Gets Replaced

While we were chasing one of the UP locals to Commerce City, I noticed that a signal maintainer was working at the 56th Avenue #1 crossing. After I asked him what was going on, he said he was gonna be replacing one of the now-nonfunctional GS type 3's at the crossing. I asked if I could have the old bell and he was fine with it.
