An ascent that started quietly from the Lizara Refuge, but soon immersed us in the harsh reality of the mountain in January. The first hours we advanced with clear skies, but the real challenge began when crossing the Collado de lo Foratón. From there, the slopes became steeper and the terrain required the use of crampons and ice axes. Each step brought us closer to the summit, although the cold (-7º with a thermal sensation of -12º) and the unexpected wind made the ascent much more intense. Despite the difficulties, the reward was immense.
