Overprotected peaked at number 4 in the UK and, because Britney was radio banned during this time, peaked at number 86 in the US. In Brit’s discography, overprotected remains as one of her most personal songs lyrically, along with songs like ‘Piece Of Me’ and ‘I’m not a girl, not yet a woman’. With an iconic music video and choreography, overprotected became a fan favourite song even now 22 years later.
