🎬 HOW THE FMLN GUERRILLA BEGAN is a documentary based on the true stories of former commanders and combatants who lived through one of the most intense periods in El Salvador's history. In this first episode, we explore the political, social, and economic events that led thousands of Salvadorans to join the armed struggle during the 1970s and 1980s. Through first-person accounts, we will learn what the country was like before the conflict, the living conditions in many communities, the growing political polarization, and the motivations that led numerous young people to make decisions that would change their lives forever. This documentary does not seek to justify or condemn any of the parties involved. Its objective is to preserve historical memory, understand the context of a complex era, and listen to the voices of those who were protagonists of those events. A production of El Poder Popular.
