Roberts Revival Radio History - 70 Years of Iconic Radio Design - (1954 - 2024)
1954 -2024 marks 70 years of iconic radio design, a radio of which is currently known as the Roberts Revival. We start this video by looking at the first 1990s Revival radios and then look back at some vintage Roberts radios from the 1950s and 1960s, on which the Revival series was based. The Revival radio came into being after a TV advertisement for Martini in 1989. In the background of this advertisement was placed a 1960s Roberts R200 set. We look at the Roberts R55 from 1954, the first radio using the design the Revival set was based upon, and end by looking at the current Revival models available from Roberts Radio including the RD70 and the iStream 3. This video covers the history of what I believe to be one of the most iconic British radio designs in British radio history. What do you think? Please comment below. Thank you for watching my video.
