Gabby Petito Case Analysis | Strangulation in Abusive Relationships | Leave Abusive Relationship

This video is a psychologist review of Gabby Petito and a follow-up on my previous video analyzing the body cam footage of Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie in Moab, Utah. In the previous video, I discussed abusive behaviors of Brian Laundrie and how Gabby covered for his abuse when talking with the Moab police. The Gabby police interaction was telling as far as the type of relationship Gabby and Brian had. I discussed is Brian Laundrie a narcissist and was Gabby a victim of a narcissist. This video is another Gabby Petito Case Analysis and I discuss strangulation in abusive relationships. Strangulation is a dating red flag that you must be aware of because strangulation can so easily, and quickly, lead to death. Is strangulation a crime of passion? Strangulation is a crime of control that is often used when the abuser feels out of control and wrong. It is a crime of passion in that it is enacted when the abuser feels the most upset about the relationship or how they were wronged in the relationship. Strangulation in relationships suggest there is not only an abusive relationship, but the victim is more likely to be the victim of homicidal violence if there is strangulation in the relationship. Narcissistic abuse isn’t the only abuse that can lead to strangulation in a toxic relationship. However, narcissistic abuse and a history of strangulation by the abuser is a dating red flag that shouldn’t be ignored.
