O Almighty, is it grace or a curse divine That binds me, weeping, to this garden of torment? My splendor turned poison and peace a bitter demon, No escape before me, each path leading to deeper shadows. Such is my existence, shackled to Fate's eternal flames, Laying alone amidst the shadows of despair. Why forge me as a torch? O why! O why! For there's only light when I'm consumed by flames. And when this fire subsides, all beauty turns to shade, Yet the path to You is a dance through searing fire.
