FS 2T22 Siren Replacement - La Crosse, WI 8-30-2021

The 28th and Farnam Street FS 2T22 is gone, replaced by a Federal Signal 508-128. It is the last CD-era siren to be replaced in La Crosse, WI. It replaced on 8-30-2021 by ECS. I was glad I was able to see the whole replacement process (thank you Amos!). There are now only 2 active CD-era sirens in La Crosse County and those are the Holmen FS 2T22 and the Bangor Model 5. This was the last CD-era siren to be replaced in the City of La Crosse. It's the end of an era for the city; the oldest active siren in the city is from 2004 now that the 2T22 is gone. The 2T22 had a good run though, from around the mid 60's to 2021- almost 60 years.
