Obra na Linha 6-Laranja do metrô de São Paulo enfrenta impasses devido à descoberta arqueológica

Construction is taking place in a busy area of the Bexiga neighborhood, in the city center, below a stop on Avenida Nove de Julho, and is part of the orange line 6. In June 2022, construction was halted by order of Iphan, the Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage, after an archaeological site was discovered at the site. The artifacts revealed traces of the Quilombo Saracura. Construction on the station was supposed to resume earlier this month, but the deadline was postponed until today, February 28th, because new artifacts of religious origin were discovered. Linha Uni, the concessionaire responsible for the construction, reported that to date, all activities that could be carried out simultaneously with the archaeological recovery have been completed.
