Beed Shocker: A shocking case of matrimonial fraud and extortion involving a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) has come to light in Beed, Maharashtra. Reports reveal that after an engagement was formalized, the bride's family abruptly canceled the wedding when the bride refused the match. Following this, the bride's relatives allegedly demanded a heavy extortion amount of ₹25 lakhs, threatening to strip the PSI of his uniform, stall his duties, and cause physical harm if the demand wasn't met. The Chaklamba Police have registered a case against 10 family members under serious charges of extortion, fraud, and intimidation.
