Today, Vincent will start the day alongside Isabelle Lepage, at the wheel of her 510 hp Iveco X-Way equipped with a Schmitz Cargobull tipper, in the middle of a spectacular 45-hectare site. Isabelle works for the ATIL & GTS Group, a family business founded in 1992 and managed by Sébastien Cerdan, which has established itself as a recognized player in road transport in southeastern France. Early in the morning, under a radiant sun, Vincent meets Isabelle at the extraction site of the Grands Caous quarry, renowned for its blue porphyry. Their objective for the day: to transport a load of aggregates, "20/40," Isabelle explains, a material prized for its unique color and its strength and compactness, intended, among other things, for road construction and construction in the Var hinterland. Their route will take them to Montauroux, to the end customer, Cifreo Bona, via the magnificent Lac de Saint-Cassien. The journey, marked by breathtaking scenery, reflects both the beauty of the region and the technical challenges of driving a loaded heavy goods vehicle on winding roads between the sea and the mountains. Isabelle, who divides her days between driving and managing the cement operations, supervises three powder tankers, collaborates with subcontractors, and makes deliveries throughout the southeast, mainly around Toulon and Nice. Throughout the mission, we were accompanied by our partner IVECO to highlight the expertise of our driver of the day, who is fully committed to her job.
