Norwegian rain changed plans – towards the French Alps | Motorcycle trip through Europe. EP1

The original destination of this motorcycle trip was Norway, but the constant rain changed our plans before we even got there. We decided to head south towards the French Alps and make the most of the good riding weather and the stunning landscapes of Europe. The trip started in Loviisa, from where we drove to Naantali and boarded a ship towards Kapellskär in Sweden. The next morning we continued south through Sweden and crossed the Øresund Bridge into Denmark. From Denmark we drove to Rödbyhavn, from where we took a ferry to Puttgarden in Germany. At the end of the day we arrived in Lübeck for the night. The trip then continued to Amsterdam, where we spent the night and explored the city's attractions. In the morning we headed to France via Belgium and Luxembourg. After a day of riding, we stayed overnight in Lyon before continuing our journey towards the winding roads and mountain landscapes of the French Alps. Unfortunately, some of the video footage of the trip was lost due to a technical problem. The sections driven through Sweden and the footage between Amsterdam and Lyon have not survived, so this video reviews these stages of the journey using images, maps, and experiences recounted afterwards. Päätimme suunnata etelään kohti Ranskan Alppeja ja ottaa kaiken irti hyvästä ajosäästä sekä Euroopan upeista maisemista. Matka alkoi Loviisasta, josta ajoimme Naantaliin ja nousimme laivaan kohti Kapellskäriä Ruotsissa. Seuraavana aamuna jatkoimme Ruotsin halki etelään ja ylitimme Juutinrauman sillan Tanskaan. Tanskasta ajoimme Rödbyhavniin, josta lautalla Puttgardeniin Saksaan. Päivän päätteeksi saavuimme Lyypekkiin yöksi. Matka jatkui seuraavaksi Amsterdamiin, jossa vietimme yön ja tutustuimme kaupungin nähtävyyksiin. Aamulla suuntasimme Belgian ja Luxemburgin kautta Ranskaan. Päivän ajon jälkeen yövyimme Lyonissa ennen matkan jatkumista kohti Ranskan Alppien mutkateitä ja vuoristomaisemia. Valitettavasti osa matkan videomateriaalista katosi teknisen ongelman vuoksi. Ruotsin läpi ajetut osuudet sekä Amsterdamin ja Lyonin välinen materiaali eivät ole säilyneet, joten tässä videossa nämä matkan vaiheet käydään läpi kuvien, karttojen ja jälkikäteen kerrottujen kokemusten avulla.
