Furthermore, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels were different from those of today, favoring the growth of enormous animals and colossal insects. Violent storms, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes were frequent due to the planet's intense geological activity. Not even the oceans offered safety. Underwater dwelt sea monsters like the Mosasaurus, the Liopleurodon, or enormous primitive sharks capable of devouring gigantic prey. In the skies, flying reptiles like pterosaurs dominated the air and could spot weak animals from great distances. The food chain was brutal: even the largest dinosaurs could be attacked when injured, sick, or too young to defend themselves. But perhaps the most terrifying thing was that life in that era was a constant struggle for survival. Most animals died young, victims of hunger, disease, predators, or natural disasters. There was no truly safe place. Every day could end in a bloody hunt or an environmental catastrophe. The Land of the Dinosaurs was not a lost paradise, but an immense, violent, and merciless world where only the strongest survived.
