What You Need To Know About Netflix New Series About The Winx Saga Subscribe: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Things “The Winx Club” is finally getting a live-action remake, and it looks like it could be the next “Charmed” or “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” Premiering on Netflix in January, “Fate: The Winx Saga” will bring back Bloom, Musa, Aisha and Stella, and even add some new characters. There will be epic romances-- particularly with Prince Sky and Riven involved-- and entirely new monsters called the Burned Ones. We’ll also get to return to the Otherworld and Alfea, but this time it’ll feel more real than ever. But before we get too excited, what can we expect from the new series? And will it live up to the original? We know there are a few changes-- like a couple missing fairies (we miss you already, Flora!) and realistic, modern clothing to replace the Winx fairies usual colorful and sparkly wardrobe. The powers also look very different, but they fit the dark reimagining of the beloved anime. Brian Young is the series’ showrunner, and he’s responsible for “The Vampire Diaries”, so we know we can expect some juicy young-adult drama. Other perks to Young’s involvement include girls with realistic bodies and the absence of mean-girl-esque rivalries. Netflix has done this dark remake thing before with shows like “Riverdale”, and while they usually give us interesting and cool retellings of our favorite shows and characters, they sometimes miss the wonder of the original.
