Contrary to some rumors, we don't live in compounds. Emirates owns or rents buildings all throughout Dubai, and they are specifically allocated for cabin crew members. Some are like compounds because they consist of multiple buildings situated far out in the desert. The accommodation you're assigned can truly make or break your experience. I was fortunate to live in Downtown Dubai, right in the heart of the city's hustle and bustle. My two-bedroom apartment offered a unique perspective, but some colleagues are in three-bedroom apartments. What's consistent, though, is that each of us enjoys a personal bathroom and 24/7 transportation to Emirates Group headquarters when it's time to operate a flight. Living in the crew accommodations is a unique experience, but it comes with its own set of rules and regulations. Join me in this tour to get an inside look at what our apartment is like.
