Nama ǂāb ǂgâs [Entrance]

The entrance to the house of the pride as part of the handover of the food parcels together with sheep & goats for slaughter. All this is part of tradition of the Nama people and this part of the wedding and normally done first after the pride is given over to the groom for marriage. After the groom’s family has done their handover then the pride’s family will do the same on the same day or on a agreed time. The food will be used at the wedding reception normally on a Saturday.
