Deputies Discover 3-Year-Old Alone in Vehicle During 88° Weather | Bodycam

A routine afternoon at an Augusta auto parts yard turned into a criminal investigation when employees discovered a 3-year-old child alone inside a vehicle during 88-degree weather. According to authorities, deputies responded to reports of possible child abuse at Pull-A-Part on Sand Bar Ferry Road after employees located an unattended toddler sitting in the back of a Toyota Camry. Witnesses reported that the child's father, Elliott McBride, and his girlfriend had entered the business, leaving the young child behind in the vehicle. Bodycam footage captures deputies confronting the father about leaving the child alone in dangerous temperatures. Investigators say the child had been unattended for more than 20 minutes while temperatures reached 88°F and felt like 91°F. The situation became even more concerning when deputies reported that the father allegedly could not spell his son's name or provide the child's birth year during questioning. McBride was ultimately arrested and charged with Deprivation of a Minor and transported to the Charles B. Webster Detention Center. 👉 Leave a comment with your thoughts on this incident. ⚠️ This video is presented for news reporting, educational, and documentary purposes. #bodycam #PoliceBodycam #BodycamFootage #Arrested #hotcar #childneglect #childendangerment #policeencounter #truecrimecommunity #lawenforcement #georgianews #AugustaGA #crimenews #BodyCamVideos #PoliceFootage #ViralBodycam #ArrestFootage #Deputy #SheriffOffice #crimestories
