Jeff Shore -- What is in the depth of your own heart?
What remains when the intellect, the discursive mind is abandoned? Then emotions, feelings, desires and urges come up that are not even fully conscious. Let them come all the way, experience them fully, and it’s done. What is in the depth of your own heart? If you are truly settled in the zazen, let it come all the way. Let it show you what it has to show you. Experience it fully, and it’s done. However, with some things you realize it’s done but you need to do something practically about them. Maybe you want to apologize to someone or accept an apology. When retreat is over, you will be clear about what needs to be done.
