Subtitles are included if you want to sing along! - Behind-the-scenes: Originally finished on May 21, 2022 This was truly some of the most fun I’ve had ever making a video! Out of several possible options for our Government final, Hugo and I saw that making a rap for the Preamble was one of them, and we joked that we would do it. But as time went on, we realized that this could actually be something fun and exciting! So how did this all come together? We first had to make the song itself. I used a beat from Soulker titled “Money” and Hugo wrote the lyrics. Once that was figured out, we recorded our vocals and I edited it all together into the song you hear. Then we filmed the music video and had so much fun! Hugo and I had permission from our teacher to film around the school during our class periods and our study hall too. Students and teachers were even giving us funny looks in the hallways! After two or three days of filming, it was time to edit. It was a simple edit but I’m still super proud of it to this day. Once I submitted it to my teacher, they loved it so much that the video was sent out to other teachers to show their students as well! I remember we were outside for our high school’s block party and several students recognized Hugo and I, and they told us how cool the video was! It was a sensation around the school! We never thought the rap would reach school-wide recognition and we were blown away that it did. We hope you all enjoy it and who knows?
