He also touched upon the social media and gaming platform regulations included in the omnibus bill, arguing that completely banning social media for those under 15 constitutes "a violation of freedom of expression and the right to develop one's material and moral existence." Reminding that the internet entered Turkey commercially 33 years ago and became mainstream in 2003, Dervişoğlu asked, “24 of those 33 years were under the control of the ruling party. What kind of education was provided during this period?” “This is a nepotistic regime” Criticizing appointments in public institutions, Dervişoğlu said, “This is a nepotistic regime.” Defining nepotism as “distributing positions based solely on family ties, kinship, closeness, and loyalty, without considering a person’s education, qualifications, or achievements,” Dervişoğlu cited the recent appointments at Turkish Airlines as an example. “State positions have ceased to be a trust from the nation and are seen as spoils to be distributed to spouses, friends, relatives, and supporters,” Dervişoğlu said, adding that this government no longer feels shame. Dervişoğlu also criticized social welfare policies, claiming that the ruling party is responsible for leaving millions of citizens dependent on social assistance. "This is not a welfare state," said Dervişoğlu, demanding that allowances be automatically updated according to actual inflation and that a state will based on human dignity be implemented.
