Abisko & Riksgränsen Retkeilyautolla | Talvea Etsimässä (eng sub)

March has been quite unusual this year. Across Lapland – in Finland, Sweden and Norway – the weather has been much warmer than normal for a long time, and good skiing conditions have been hard to find. We had three days off and a strong urge to get out and ski. So we decided to head towards Riksgränsen to see if we could still find winter somewhere. A week earlier, our plans at Pyhä–Luosto didn’t really work out, and conditions were poor across the entire region. This time, expectations weren’t high, but we decided to go anyway. This video isn’t about deep powder or perfect conditions. It’s a more realistic look at skiing in challenging conditions. Luckily, we still managed to catch one really good day when everything came together. And some cool Northerns lights! Aurora borealis Torstin Touhut is all about being outdoors, going on trips and enjoying the process – no matter the conditions.
