Otherworld Travelogue is a video channel where I use AI to write the otherworlds in my mind into this world and preserve them as travel records. The first series is “Showa 99.” We travel through fictional cities that might have existed, where the Showa era never ended and wooden high-rises, shopping streets, elevated railways, bathhouses, and paper notice culture developed in a different direction. They do not exist in reality. But these are records of otherworlds where people seem to be truly living somewhere. This video depicts fictional cities, people, and landscapes generated by AI. It has no connection to any real locations, shops, schools, companies, organizations, or people. Signs, notices, place names, shop names, and similar elements shown on screen are also fictional expressions created to build the world of the work.
