Sugarbush to Stowe | Chasing a Storm That Never Landed

We headed north chasing a spring storm at Sugarbush and Stowe, hoping for fresh snow — but the weather had other plans. What started as sleet at Sugarbush turned into steady rain, forcing us to adjust plans before heading to Stowe the next morning where conditions were better than expected. Along the way we met up with Grant from our January meetup, tested a pair of $200 Atomic Maverick demo skis, and even ran into Jeff from SkiEssentials. Not every ski trip delivers perfect powder, but part of skiing in New England is learning to adapt and still find great turns when the forecast shifts. This video is slightly out of sequence from our Out West ski road trip series, but we wanted to share timely Vermont conditions for those planning spring skiing trips. ⛷️ Resort: Mount Sugarbush, Vermont ⛷️ Resort: Stowe, Vermont ❄️ Conditions: Spring Conditions good coverage More East Coast ski videos, vanlife winter trips, and storm chasing all season.
