This is a digest of the video I took when I hiked Mount Yarigatake (3180m, Japan, Nagano/Gifu prefecture, The Northern Japanese Alps) in 2020 August. I hope this channel will be helpful for your mountaineering in Japan, for example the trail condition, atmosphere and difficulty level. Overview_______________________________________________ I hiked Mt.Yarigatake in late August, staying at a mountain lodge. The most major route is the Kamikochi route, but this time I hiked from Shinhotaka Onsen. Compared to the Kamikochi route, there are fewer people and I could enjoy a quiet hiking. There were many times when I hiked in gas on the ridgeline, but it cleared up at key points, and I was very satisfied. It was a very long hike, so it required a lot of stamina, but I enjoyed the flower-filled trail in the summer.
