In some cases, the box manufacturer already includes a recess, and in other cases, your box is ready-made and will need adaptation to accommodate the module. There's a difference between the two situations: if you're building from scratch, the box manufacturer already accounts for the box's volume with the recess, while with adaptation you compromise some of the original performance of your box.
