A Philosopher and a Child 5: Is the universe infinite ?
Can a child outsmart an Oxford philosopher? In the fifth episode of our series, Cara takes on Professor Adrian Moore, one of the world’s leading philosophers of mathematics, to answer a timeless question does infinity exist? In particular could the universe be infinitely big and could it be infinitely old? We hope this debate shows that philosophy isn’t just for grown-ups — sometimes kids ask better questions than professors! So is infinity real? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
