In this video we go thru the disassembly, cleaning, and repair of the Ryobi RS290G 5" random orbital sander power tool, but this video applies to the Ryobi RS290 sander also. The sander under repair has experienced the very common problem of the backing pad and skirt / brake disintegrating, as well as the power cord bend relief "melting" from age.
