Jim Gallant's Hydrofoil Trimaran Sailboat
A 20 foot hydrofoil trimaran sailboat built from a Supercat 20 catamaran hull with stitch and glue constructed amas (outer hulls). More info on this here: http://nwguy.fun/tri/foil2/index.html This video shot on 6/11/2019 in Liberty Bay by Poulsbo, WA. Jim at the helm, Paul Gallagher handling the jib. Winds were approx. 12-13 knots out of the north. A winglet tip broke off of one of the main foils near the end of the session. Then the aka (cross bar connect all the hulls) rotated a few degrees forward, causing the crash at the end of the video. Will make repairs and get foiling again!
