Welcome to the live stream of the Final Round and Closing Gala of the 14th Antón García Abril International Chamber Music Competition in Baza. Today the competition reaches its climax: the ensembles selected in the First Round compete for the top prizes before the jury and a live audience at the Teatro Dengra, in a day that will culminate with the Awards Ceremony and a closing concert performed by the prize-winning groups. The Antón García Abril International Chamber Music Competition pays tribute to the Spanish composer Antón García Abril (1933–2021), one of the most significant figures in contemporary Spanish music, whose extensive body of work ranges from symphonic and chamber music to film and television soundtracks. Founded in 2012 by Paqui García Vázquez in Baza (Granada), the competition was born with the direct support of the maestro, who served as jury president through its eighth edition, leaving a profound artistic legacy. Since then, more than 1,000 musicians from Europe, Asia and the Americas have participated, making Baza an internationally recognized hub for chamber music. Now in its 14th edition, the competition takes place on June 11, 12 and 13, 2026 at the Teatro Dengra in Baza (Granada, Spain). The jury is chaired by Enrique García Asensio and includes Ainhoa Arteta, Javier Bonet, Birgit Kolar and Miguel Ángel Ortega Chavaldas.
