Ultima VI: The False Prophet Retrospective | The Devil You Know
Throughout the 1980s, Ultima had been a series of iteration. The developers at Origin Systems would expand on old ideas and experiment with new ones, but the roots of the series' identity stretched deep underground. The 1990s marked a period of dramatic change in the technology sector. Graphics, sound, computing power - quality standards were changing every day, and Ultima would have to change with them. In the process, Origin would learn hard lessons, celebrate numerous victories, and establish the career of (yet another) industry legend. This is the 6th video in my Ultima Retrospective series.
