Was passiert mit einer Prostata in der Pathologie?
After a prostatectomy, the tissue is examined histologically. But what exactly happens in pathology? Take a look behind the scenes in our video. ► About Prostate Help Germany Men are notoriously reluctant to go to the doctor! For us, that was motivation enough to launch Prostate Help Germany. With our services, we aim to provide comprehensive information about prostate diseases, especially prostate cancer. One focus is on the benefits and risks of early detection screenings. These include PSA testing, digital rectal examination (DRE), multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI), and biopsy. Another focus is on treatment methods for prostate cancer. These include watchful waiting, active surveillance, surgery (radical prostatectomy), radiation therapy (such as brachytherapy and proton beam therapy), hormone therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radionuclide therapy. We also report on new approaches such as cryotherapy, hyperthermia, and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). We also focus on rehabilitation measures and aftercare, as well as supportive therapies such as a healthy diet, yoga, and pelvic floor exercises. Why is raising awareness about prostate diseases and prostate cancer so important to us? Almost every man will experience prostate issues at some point in his life. For example, about half of all men over 60 and 90 percent of all men over 70 have benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This can significantly impair quality of life. Around 75,000 men in Germany are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. Malignant tumors in the prostate are—along with colorectal and lung cancer—the most common cause of cancer death among men in Germany. Despite this, only one in four men over 45 takes advantage of preventative care or early cancer detection, as reported by the AOK health insurance company. This equates to only about 3.5 million men. . ] ... More information at https://www.prostata-hilfe-deutschlan... Legal notice: The content of these videos is for informational purposes only.
