#068 Nova NR1: como melhorar a saúde mental no trabalho?
The mental health crisis in Brazil related to the work environment has been worsening in recent years. In 2025, Brazil had more than 500,000 absences due to mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, according to data from the Ministry of Social Security. This represents a 15% increase compared to the previous year. It is in this context that the update to NR-1, Regulatory Standard 1, comes into effect, coming into force on May 26, 2026. This date marks the beginning of inspections and penalties, because NR-1 now requires companies to identify and control psychosocial risks, that is, those risks caused by stressful working conditions, such as overload, pressure from deadlines, internal conflicts, and lack of support.
