I visit a pegmatite quarry north of Madawaska for the purposes of collecting Canadian rocks and minerals, in particular feldspar, mica, allenite, zircon and fergusonite. As can be seen, mineral collecting in the north at abandoned mines is both a beautiful and lucrative experience.
