A trip to Hokkaido's hot springs at Niseko Konbu Onsen Tsuruga Besso Mokunosho. Two hours from Sapporo, Niseko, a mecca for winter sports, also has excellent hot springs. Relax in a room at Mokunosho, complete with an open-air hot spring bath. Needless to say, the hot springs are fantastic, but the food is also excellent. The food is so good it makes you want to drink sake. In Niseko, we enjoyed the hot springs, food, and sake to our heart's content. Hot springs in the summer are great too.
