The Shocking Childhood Link to INFJ?
The INFJ and Childhood Trauma: Our Research on ACE Scores What is the link between personality type and childhood experiences? In this video, we explore the preliminary findings from our research into the potential relationship between the INFJ personality type and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). We surveyed over 50 self-identified INFJs about their childhoods using the ACE questionnaire, which measures ten categories of childhood trauma including abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction. The results were startling. Key findings from our research include: 📊 The average ACE score among participants was over 5. ⚠️ Over 80% of INFJ participants had an ACE score of 3 or higher. ♂️♀️ We break down the data by gender, showing the prevalence of high ACE scores among INFJ men and women. Important Note: This is a small, preliminary study and its findings cannot be generalized to all INFJs. It suggests a compelling correlation that warrants deeper, more rigorous scientific investigation. We discuss what this might mean and the importance of understanding the impact of childhood trauma.
