Tourists usually pay the full price, as the system isn't easy for us foreigners to understand and requires multiple bookings. And for the better!!! If you prepare this a few weeks before your vacation with your campervan or car, you can quickly save several hundred euros! The 50% discount applies to almost all ferries within Norway. Ferry trips in Norway are really affordable with the discount and make your Norwegian vacation twice as enjoyable. Of course, you can also use the 50% discount with your car. The many fjords in the southwest, between Stavanger and Trondheim, are really only accessible by taking numerous ferry trips. And there are some truly magnificent ferry rides there. Even the ferry between Bodø and Moskenes to the Lofoten Islands is discounted. This is a really long and correspondingly expensive ferry, but it can save you a lot of time and kilometers. With the 50% discount, it's also financially worthwhile. You can also save real money and simplify your life on Norwegian highways. With the right registration, you generally pay significantly less in highway tolls in Norway for your motorhome, regardless of its length or weight. And if you have a low-emission vehicle, you can save a few more percentage points. Unfortunately, the discount doesn't apply to ferries to and from Norway.
