houseplants taught me something I didn't expect

I’ve been rethinking my relationship with houseplants. At one point, I wanted to “catch them all” like Pokémon, every variegated Monstera, Philodendron, and Anthurium I could find. Buying more plants felt like instant happiness, an easy dopamine hit, but it didn’t always lead to long-term fulfillment. More plants didn’t automatically mean more joy. This video is about my new philosophy on houseplants: why loving plants isn’t a bad thing, why buying them isn’t wrong, and how I’m trying to live more meaningfully with the plants I already have instead of constantly consuming more. A calm, honest reflection on houseplants, overconsumption, and finding a more intentional way to enjoy them.
