Is it possible to define an absolute model of male or female beauty? And what is the relationship between this and body shaming? In this talk, Mirko Orioli explains how an answer can be found by examining art history. Born in Cesena in 1973 and holding a degree in Modern Literature, Mirko Orioli is a certified teacher of Art History and Support at the Liceo Linguistico Ilaria Alpi in Cesena and a cultural guide at the Malatestiana Library. Since 2003, he has collaborated with Artemisia, a Cesena-based cultural association engaged in the design and implementation of museum education activities in the fields of art and ancient books, as well as cultural itineraries aimed at understanding and enhancing the historical and artistic heritage of Romagna. This association works closely with schools and in collaboration with institutions such as the Malatestiana Library, the Alessandro Bonci Theater, the Renato Serra House Museum, the Gallery of Ancient Paintings of the Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena, the Marino Moretti House Museum, and the Maritime Museum of Cesenatico. For the "Ponte Vecchio," he published "La Rocca Malatestiana di Cesena" and, as co-author, "La Romagna dei castelli e delle forcche."
