'charcha' means discussion of the tales of lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. It primarily involves groups of devotees gathering in homes, temples to sing bhajans, recite scriptures, and discuss morality and the teachings of Lord Shiva. The entire practice of Shiv Charcha is built upon three foundational rules (Sutras) established by its founders, Harindra Bhaiya and Neelam Didi. 1.Daya (Asking for Mercy): Devotees pray to Lord Shiva, asking for His mercy and guidance as their Guru. 2.Charcha (Discussion): Sharing the glories, stories, and teachings of Shiva with others to bring more people into his discipleship. 3.Naman (Salutation): Offering salutations to Shiva by chanting “Om Namah Shivaya” or meditating.
