For many millennia, civilizations developed in different worlds, differing significantly from each other. One of the races was the Root, whose goal was to conquer and destroy other civilizations. As soon as a breach in defense or a loophole for the Root to enter a world was discovered, it immediately took it and fought everyone. Those who came into contact with it for conquest and destruction. Civilizations that had existed for a long time knew about the Root and did everything they could to prevent it from entering the world. Some worlds had their own powerful guardians that prevented the Root from penetrating. There were other ways to prevent the Root from penetrating, but this is not so important for the narrative. Reliable information about the Root was discovered in notes even before its invasion of Earth. The first known and mentioned civilization, the Bashi, which was attacked by the Root in the world of ROM, did not surrender without a fight. It is known that the Bashi civilization was highly advanced and possessed high technology. But it was also divided into many warring feudal regions. Despite their different views, the warring classes united under the leadership of the IMMORTAL KING, who was considered a prophet, and everyone believed that he had a spiritual connection with the guardian of the world. After the unification of the classes, ROM flourished very much. For a long time, until the Root invasion began. Under the leadership of the IMMORTAL KING, the Bashi fought back against the Root as best they could. But the Root's strength was superior, and the BASHI civilization was unable to win a war of attrition and was slowly but surely losing ground to the Root. Then, the leader of the united civilization, the Immortal King, took the utmost step. He gave the order to use the doomsday weapon. Along with the destruction of the main Root army, the Immortal King was forced to watch the fall of the Bashi civilization. With this decision, the Immortal King condemned the remnants of Bashi to a joyless existence on scorched earth for many centuries, and sealed himself in the palace. It would be strange to condemn his decision; apparently, the KING hoped that the Root would be destroyed, and the remnants of Bashi would restore the civilization's former might. But a schism occurred. Some eyewitnesses of the events called themselves AKARI and believed that the NAMELESS KING was to blame for everything that had happened. They remained behind the gates of the protected castle, without technology or comforts, but they did not abandon their hopes of destroying the IMMORTAL KING. Root was, so to speak, shocked by this turn of events. But not broken. He retreated from the world of ROM. And a millennium later, he began an invasion of Earth. After the invasion—not a full-scale one, but an invasion nonetheless—HELL unfolded on Earth. Divided groups of people took refuge wherever they could, saving themselves and their comrades. A protracted war of attrition began, and depending on their initial knowledge and the remnants of technology, the human race developed in completely different conditions. Some groups were literally stuck in the Stone Age due to a lack of knowledge and the absence of surviving technology, relying on religious teachings, while others retained much of their scientific and technological interest. And then the events of CHRONOS BZA unfold, the beginning of which the doctor from 2020 will kindly tell us about, and then we will try to understand the chronology of events.
