DC is back with a bold new take on Supergirl (2026) — and this is NOT the version you’re used to. Starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, this film dives deep into a darker, more emotional story inspired by Woman of Tomorrow. Instead of the bright, hopeful cousin of Superman, we get a broken, battle-hardened anti-hero on a cosmic revenge mission. Joined by Eve Ridley and facing off against a brutal villain played by Matthias Schoenaerts, Supergirl travels across multiple planets in a story filled with pain, loss, and redemption. Jason Momoa also shows up as Lobo — and yes, he steals scenes. This isn’t your typical superhero movie… it’s darker, more emotional, and surprisingly intense. ⸻ 🎥 Our Review This movie feels like DC trying something completely different — and honestly, it works. The tone is much heavier than expected. Kara isn’t the cheerful hero — she’s angry, traumatized, and still figuring out who she is. That makes her journey feel real and raw. The space “road trip” concept keeps things fresh, with different worlds and challenges that constantly shift the stakes.  Visually, it’s stunning. From alien planets to intense action scenes, the movie feels massive in scale. But what really stands out is the emotional depth — especially the themes of loss and revenge.
