Beating the KID with 6. Bd3 - Practical Solution for White!
The KID has never been in such a good shape as it today. Once considered risky, it has become reliable and dangerous weapon. That's why having a solid response as White has never been more important. My suggested variation is somewhat rare, underrated line 6. Bd3 (after we play e4 and Nf3) with very unique idea to meet 6...Bg4 with 7. Be2! What's justification for losing a tempo in the opening? First of all, trading light-squared bishops usually favors White in KID, due to the fact that Black kingside play is less effective without his light-squared bishop; secondly, White can benefit from delaying castle in some lines by starting to advance his kingside pawns.
