Crime has been declining in Poland since the mid-2000s. And it's been declining dramatically. The number of reported thefts has dropped threefold, burglaries sixfold, and robberies 13fold. In reality, these declines are even greater, because as we become more affluent and society "calms down," we report crimes more often. At the same time, we have been witnessing a noticeable increase in the number of immigrants for a decade. Contrary to what some deceptive circles suggest, crime has not stopped falling during this period. We are currently one of the safest countries in the world.
