Stop Buying RC Accessories! Try 3D Printing Instead

Can a total beginner actually 3D print useful items for the RC Hobby? In this video, I’m sharing my first two weeks of experience with the Bambu Lab A1 Mini to see if it’s a game-changer for the workshop or just a steep learning curve. I’ll take you through the unboxing, the setup, and my very first "Benchy" test print. Then, we’ll look at the practical RC hobby items I’ve printed since, including custom Tamiya paint pot holders, IKEA pegboard tool organizers, and even a 3D-printed rear wing for the Tamiya DT-03. We’ll also discuss what I’ve learned about different filaments (PLA vs. food-safe) and why some prints fail while others are perfect. In this video: Unboxing & Setup: Getting the Bambu Lab A1 Mini ready. First Prints: The classic Benchy and initial impressions. Workshop Upgrades: Printing Tamiya paint holders and IKEA pegboard accessories. RC Parts: Testing a 3D-printed DT-03 rear wing. Lessons Learned: Dealing with print failures and filament choices.
