We bought a 1987 Unimog and decided to turn it into a full-time home (pending)!! We’re Em & Nath, building out a Mercedes Unimog U1700L into an off-grid camper from scratch. It’s a mix of problem solving, setbacks, wins and everything in between. George (The G) is along for the ride as chief morale officer (CMO) and full-time supervisor. We want to show you the real process: things breaking, plans changing and figuring it out as we go. The goal is to build a capable rig and take it around Australia.
