Based on this definition, we can consider that the investigation of everything that surrounds us is a systematic activity, that is, it is carried out in an orderly manner and through the application of a methodical process. It is also based on experiences and experiments, which is why it is empirical; at the same time, it is verifiable, since it seeks to understand what is observed without making judgments, but rather seeking evidence. Although we often don't realize it, research is a process we carry out daily by observing, analyzing, and examining what is around us. When we research, we study and examine objects, phenomena, situations, or people with the purpose of obtaining new knowledge, which we can use to find solutions to various problems, simply to clear up any doubts or expand our learning. Science is the reflection of various discoveries. To achieve them, researchers had to follow very precise and rigorous steps to obtain reliable results. This set of steps is called the scientific method, which is the way to develop research and produce knowledge to put at the service of humanity. That is, to solve a problem or satisfy a need. And let's talk about science and scientific knowledge to understand the difference between the research we carry out in our daily lives and that carried out by any professional scientist.
