How to Tie a Picture Frame Cord

This is one way to tie a cord on the back of a picture frame. I've been shown a number of ways of how to tie the cord on the back of a picture frame, some more elegant than others and some designed to use the least amount of cord possible, which can be fiddly. Over the years I have found this approach easy to teach and, for my students, easier than other methods to remember. I use a low-stretch polyester fibre cord, as I find it easy to handle and looks good. Whether you wire or cord, you should still check the fittings and cords every few years to ensure they're all still stable and strong.
